10.0.0.1

10.0.0.1 IP address is usually used for private networking. Moreover, the most of the router manufacturers use this IP version 4 address as default gateway address for their routers. 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.0.1 IP addresses are usually used for these purposes. If you compare public IP addresses, which can be found out by special web pages, and private 10.0.0.1 IP address, you will understand that public IPs must be unique in the Internet, but private IP must be unique only in LAN. That’s the most important reason why it’s more convenient to use this IP address to configure LAN (school or company network).

What should I do to set up my router with 10.0.0.1 IP address?

As was said above, 10.0.0.1 is IP address that was planned as IP which will help you to configure device. It’s not difficult to get access from router’s configuration panel and set up all necessary settings. Moreover, there are other things that can be configured by configuration panel (DNS, MAC address. Etc.). If you are interested in this, you should follow these steps:

The first step is opening configuration panel. Just open your internet browser and type 10.0.0.1 in URL bar. Press enter. After that, there will be Login Gateway. There are two bars: login and passkey. You should enter them. They can be taken from sticker on router or from special web page on our website.

Then, check all menus on page, on which you will get to. Your network can be set up with DSL method or other available methods. Type your login and passkey, which can be taken from network service provider. Then set up dial-up(8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, which is provided by Google).

The last step is set up wireless connection, if your router supports it. If you want to be sure that your wireless router is in safety, you should select WPA or WPE.

How I can find out my router’s default login and passkey?

There are some different situations! Everyone can forget password or login, so there are some methods to return them. Firstly, check all sides of your device. If your login or passkey were changed, you should reset your router to default settings. It’s not difficult. You just need to press and hold special RESET pushbutton for about 20 seconds. After that, your router’s identification information will be returned to factory defaults.
